The Jack Williams Award for Student Academic Excellence
In memory of Jack Haven Williams, 1934-2001
Jack was a much loved teacher and scholar who was serving as NEACJS First Vice President and as a faculty member at Western New England College when he passed away. In honor of his commitment to the Association and his devotion to students, the NEACJS Board of Directors voted in 2001 to establish the Jack H. Williams Memorial Fund. To reflect Jack’s focus on student achievement, the fund is used to defray the travel costs of NEACJS Student Paper Competition award winners so that they can attend the annual meeting of NEACJS to receive their awards and present their papers. The fund is supported primarily by members who make a special donation along with their annual dues.
